Get answers to common questions about Retwist Detailed Style.
Appointments usually take two to four hours depending on loc thickness, length, and complexity of the chosen style. Intricate updos or multiple cornrow patterns require more time; your stylist will provide an estimated duration when booking.
Arrive with clean, moisturized scalp if possible; however shampoo and conditioning are included. Avoid heavy product buildup the day before. Bring reference photos and any accessories. Plan for sitting time and wear a button-front or loose top for easy removal after styling.
Curls and rope twists are not included. This service focuses on shampooing, conditioning, retwisting, and creating detailed styles above the shoulders such as updos, cornrows, and loc petals. If you want curls or rope twists, please book a specialized styling appointment.
Frequency depends on hair growth and personal preference. Typically clients return every four to eight weeks to maintain neat roots and preserve intricate styles. Longer intervals can be scheduled for low-maintenance wear, but extended gaps may require a longer visit or additional maintenance.
Yes. Our stylists tailor techniques and product use to suit both thin and thick locs. Thicker locs may take longer and require adjusted tension, while finer locs need gentler handling. Consult with your stylist during consultation for optimal results and expectations.
Sleep with a satin scarf or bonnet and use satin pillowcases to reduce friction. Keep scalp moisturized with lightweight oils or sprays, avoid heavy products, and minimize manipulation. Schedule touch-ups as recommended and contact us if you notice unraveling or discomfort.
