Get answers to common questions about Sisterlock Consultation.
During the consultation we examine hair texture, density, scalp health and desired parting; discuss installation methods, timeframes, pricing and maintenance. You'll receive a customized plan, product suggestions, and answers to any questions to ensure you're ready to start Sisterlocks.
If you want a low-manipulation, natural locked look and are willing to commit to initial installation and maintenance, a consultation will evaluate your hair type, goals and lifestyle to determine suitability and outline next steps.
Consultations usually last 45 minutes to an hour. Time varies with hair length, density and questions. This allows for a complete assessment, discussion of your goals and a clear plan for installation and scheduling.
Bring clean, dry, product-free hair if possible, and any photos of styles you like. Also share your hair history, current routine, and any concerns about damage or scalp sensitivity to inform the assessment.
Consultation fees vary; check our current pricing or contact the salon for exact cost. We accept cash, card, and digital payments. Consultation fees may apply toward your installation when you book within a specified timeframe—ask for details.
Yes. The consultation will assess existing styles, chemical treatments or extensions and propose readiness steps. We may recommend trimming, corrective care, or waiting periods to protect your hair before Sisterlock installation.
