Our retie/interlock session is scheduled for two hours. If more time is needed we charge $75 per additional hour. Total time varies by new growth length and density; many clients require between two and four hours for a full retie.
Consultations let us assess your loc pattern, new growth, scalp health and hair length to provide accurate pricing and time estimates. They also allow us to discuss maintenance plans, desired results and any questions before scheduling service.
When performed with proper tension control by experienced stylists, interlocking should not damage mature Sisterlocks or the hairline. Excessive tightness or aggressive technique can cause stress, so we customize tension, monitor comfort, and recommend regular maintenance to minimize risk.
Wash and thoroughly dry hair within 24 to 48 hours before your appointment; avoid heavy oils or styling products that can interfere with the interlock grip. Bring accessories or discuss desired parting during your consultation.
Most clients schedule reties every four to eight weeks to keep roots tidy and maintain parting integrity. Frequency depends on hair growth rate and desired look; during consultation we’ll recommend a personalized schedule to balance maintenance time and hair health.
Our service includes two hours of interlocking. After the initial two hours, additional time is billed at $75 per hour. Final price varies depending on amount of new growth, loc length and density. New clients require a consultation to receive an accurate estimate.
